4 Tips for a Healthy Halloween

As your kids return from trick-or-treating with bags of candy, there are a few tips you can follow so your family can enjoy all the fun of Halloween without harming your kids’ teeth!

  1. Moderation is key!  Teach your kids the importance of moderation with sweets. While its okay to have candy, they don’t need to eat it all day and night in the days that follow.

  2. Avoid sticky candy.  Sticky candy stays on your teeth a lot longer, increasing your risk for tooth decay.

  3. Brushing twice daily.  Make sure your kids are brushing their teeth two times daily, as well as, flossing.

  4. Donate some of your candy.  It is tempting to keep all the candy, but your kids teeth will thank you if you limit their stash.  Remember,  November 1-3, we are buying back your candy for $1 per pound up to 5 pounds! We will then donate the candy to Operation Gratitude
